Andy Barr (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Kentucky's 6th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2013. His current term ends on January 3, 2027.

Barr (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Kentucky's 6th Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the 2026 election.

Barr grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and attended the University of Virginia to obtain his undergraduate degree in government and philosophy. Following his graduation, he worked as a legislative assistant for then-Representative Jim Talent from Missouri.

After that, he attended the University of Kentucky and earned a J.D. Barr began practicing as an attorney after his graduation from law school. He also taught constitutional and administrative law part time at Morehead State University. Barr briefly worked as the deputy general counsel to former Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher.
