Donald Sternoff Beyer Jr. (Democratic Party) (also known as Don) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Virginia's 8th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2015. His current term ends on January 3, 2027.

Beyer (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 8th Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the 2026 election.

He served as lieutenant governor of Virginia from 1990 to 1998 and as ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein from 2009 to 2013. In 2016, Beyer was one of 13 superdelegates from Virginia to the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

Beyer supported Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination. In his first two terms in Congress, Beyer was assigned to the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

In the 116th Congress, he was re-assigned to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and assigned to the Committee on Ways and Means. Beyer earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College.
