Stevens (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Michigan's 11th Congressional District. She declared candidacy for the 2024 election.

Stevens won the open race in 2018, resulting in the seat being flipped from Republican to Democratic representation. She was chosen to serve as co-president of the House Democratic freshman class with Colin Allred.

Stevens previously served as the chief of staff of the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry during the administration of President Barack Obama (D).

Haley Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Stevens worked for the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute in Chicago. Prior to that, she worked in the Obama administration as chief of staff for the Auto Task Force inside of the U.S. Department of Treasury. She was involved in setting up the Office of Recovery for Automotive Communities and Workers and the White House Office of Manufacturing Policy. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from American University.
