Jason Smith (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Missouri's 8th Congressional District. He assumed office on June 5, 2013. His current term ends on January 3, 2025.

Smith was raised in Salem, Missouri, where he attended Salem High School. He graduated in three years with a double major from the University of Missouri, Columbia, before earning his J.D. from Oklahoma City University in 2004. Smith defeated Steve Hodges (D) by 39.7 percentage points in the special election to replace Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R).
Smith was an attorney, real estate agent and small business owner before being elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2005.
Smith is a member of the Court Appointed Special Advocate Board, Cuba Chamber of Commerce, Grace Community Church, Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri State Bar Association, National Rifle Association, Salem Area Community Betterment Association Board and Salem Chamber of Commerce. He is also the president of the Salem Future Farmers of America Alumni Association.
