Greg Steube (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Florida's 17th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2019. His current term ends on January 3, 2025.
Steube (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 17th Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.
Steube first entered politics in 2010, winning election to the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 73. He represented District 73 from 2010 to 2016. In 2016, he was elected to the Florida State Senate, representing District 23, where he served until his election to the United States House of Representatives in 2018.
At the beginning of the 116th Congress, Steube was selected to serve as a member of the House Judiciary, the Oversight and Reform Committee, and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
Before holding elected office, Steube served as an airborne infantry officer and judge advocate general in the U.S. Army. He received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of Florida.
