It operates through three segments: Roads & Security, Engineered Solutions, and Galvanizing Services. The Roads & Security segment supplies products and services to support road and highway infrastructure, including temporary and permanent road safety barriers; renewable energy lighting and power solutions; intelligent traffic solutions; street lighting columns; and bridge parapets, as well as offers security products that includes hostile vehicle mitigation solutions, high security fencing, and automated gate solutions. The Engineered Solutions segment supplies engineered steel and composite solutions for a range of infrastructure markets, including energy generation and distribution, marine, rail, and housing sectors; and supplies engineered pipe supports for the water, power, and liquid natural gas markets, as well as offers seismic protection solutions. The Galvanizing Services segment provides services that enhance the sustainability and maintenance life of steel products, such as steel works, lighting columns, bridges, agricultural equipment, and other products for the industrial and infrastructure markets. The company was formerly known as Hill & Smith Holdings PLC and changed its name to Hill & Smith PLC in November 2022. Hill & Smith PLC was founded in 1824 and is headquartered in Solihull, the United Kingdom.
