SPDR Barclays Mortgage Backed Bond ETF (the Fund), formerly SPDR Barclays Capital Mortgage Backed Bond ETF, investment objective is to replicate, as closely as possible, the price and yield performance of the Barclays Capital U.S. MBS Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the United States Agency mortgage pass-through segment of the United States investment grade bond market. The United States Agency mortgage pass-through security refers to a category of pass-through securities backed by pools of mortgages and issued by one of the UNited States Government-sponsored enterprises, including Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA), Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC). SSgA Funds Management, Inc. serves as the investment adviser to the Fund.
