The Industrial segment encompasses the design and manufacture of aerial work platforms, heavy equipment, material handling and mobile access solutions under brands such as Skyjack. Linamar also delivers complex sheet metal fabrication, roll forming and hydroforming services for industrial OEMs. Its integrated tooling and die business supports high-volume production across all markets, with capabilities in precision stamping, welding, casting and machining of large structural components.

Founded in 1964 by Hungarian immigrant Frank Hasenfratz, Linamar began as a small machine shop producing snowmobile axle housings in a Guelph basement. The company grew steadily through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, entering the public markets in the mid-1990s. Linda Hasenfratz, the founder’s daughter, took the helm as CEO in the early 2000s and has overseen Linamar’s diversification into new geographic regions and product lines, positioning the company for ongoing growth in electrification and advanced manufacturing sectors.
