Stocks meandered to a mixed close on Wall Street as traders made their final moves before several potentially market-moving reports later in the week.
The S&P 500 edged up 0.1% Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was little changed, and the Nasdaq composite inched up 0.3%.
Treasury yields eased in the bond market ahead of Wednesday’s highly anticipated update on inflation at the U.S. consumer level. The Nasdaq is up 58.12 points, or 0.4%.
The Russell 2000 is up 17.33 points, or 0.8%.
